Job Description - Floor Manager

Description

The Floor Manager is responsible for overseeing and directing all aspects of the automotive sales department. This role involves leading a team of sales representatives to achieve maximum profitability and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team; provide coaching and drive team motivation to meet sales goals.
  • Process & Performance: Oversee and optimize the sales process; analyze performance metrics and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Customer Experience: Promote a customer-first culture; address concerns promptly to ensure a positive dealership experience.
  • Inventory & Financial Management: Coordinate inventory needs; manage vehicle turn rates and department profitability within budget.
  • Market Insight: Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to refine sales strategies and identify growth opportunities.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to all legal, regulatory, and internal policy requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrates a high “HQ” (Hospitality Quotient) consisting of kindness & optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity.
  • 3+ years of experience as an Automotive Sales Manager or 5+ years in an F&I or Floor Manager role.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Strong knowledge of the automotive industry and sales processes.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other relevant tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Physical Requirements

  • Sitting: The majority of the workday is spent sitting at a desk, using a computer and phone.
  • Standing and Walking: There may be times when the sales manager needs to stand, walk around the dealership, or attend meetings.
  • Reaching and Bending: The manager may need to reach for files, supplies, or equipment.
  • Lifting: Occasionally, there might be a need to lift or move documents, supplies, or equipment.
