Floor Manager

Goal: Run smooth service and protect every guest experience

Pay: $18–$20/hr |

Key Job Descriptions:

• Floor — Own the FOH during every shift — control pace and flow
• Guests — Catch and fix guest issues before they escalate
• Team — Coach servers and hosts every shift — not just when problems hit
• Speed — Keep table turns moving — slow tables cost real money
• Standards — FOH runs the same way every shift, every day

Do This (Daily)

1. Pre-shift — Run FOH lineup before every service starts
2. Monitor — Watch floor pace and table turns throughout service
3. Resolve — Fix every guest issue on the floor before it goes up

Do This (Weekly)

1. Review — Go through guest complaint log with GM
2. Coach — Give one FOH team member specific skill feedback

Avoid This

1. Stationary — Standing still during service means guests are being missed
2. Blind — Struggling servers need help now — not after service
3. Escalate — Try to fix it first — GM is the last resort

Career Path: Service Manager → Kitchen Manager → GM in Training → GM
