Floor Tech

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Floor Tech to join our team at a long term care facility in Rome, GA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of all flooring surfaces throughout the facility to ensure a hygienic and safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning, stripping, waxing, buffing, and polishing of floors in resident rooms, hallways, common areas, and other facility spaces.


• Operate floor cleaning equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums safely and efficiently.


• Identify and report any floor maintenance issues or hazards to the maintenance team promptly.


• Follow all safety protocols and infection control procedures specific to a long term care environment.


• Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment in good working order and notify management when supplies need replenishing.


• Work collaboratively with other housekeeping and maintenance staff to ensure a clean and safe environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Floor Tech or similar role in a long term care facility preferred.


• Knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment operation.


• Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety guidelines.


• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean environment.


• Good physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift moderate weight.


• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
