Job Title: Forklift Operator

Department Name: Warehouse

Reports to (title): Plant Production Supervisor

Location: Fort Mill, SC

Job Summary: Responsible for moving goods around warehouse or other industrial sites by using a forklift to unload deliveries from trucks and stack boxes for storage purposes throughout a warehouse and other industrial property.

Essential Job Functions:

• Customer service includes picking and loading the material the customer’s order and putting it on their trucks or designated zones.
• Assist shipping department in all functions.
• Maintains clean work area.
• Pallet building and pallet picks.
• Stacks crates, pallets, lumber, or other material.
• Ensures the safe and efficient movement of goods.
• Follows safety regulations and company guidelines.
• Checks that loads are centered and properly stacked.
• Determines when repairs need to be made on equipment.
• Rotates stock so that the oldest items are shipped or sold first.
• Quality assurance (QA) duties, including reporting product damage and shortages.
• Shrink wraps goods or otherwise secures them and prepares them for transport.
• Weighs and records weights of products.
• Analyzes productions schedules to determine timely transportation of materials and products. 
• Other duties as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid fork-lifting certificate.
