Focused Ion Beam (FIB) Technician III

Role Responsibilities:\n\n * Prepares wafers for experimentation to include cleaning. Loads wafers, prepares equipment for experimentation. Evaluates performance of process system.\n\n * Prepare samples for Focused Ion Beam (FIB) lamella making and help to optimize sample prep procedure and conditions, identify cutting location based on pattern instructions.\n\n * Operates and check performance of equipment to perform sample prep process, under limited supervision.\n\n * Understand basic Focused Ion Beam (FIB) principle.\n\n * Operate Focused Ion Beam (FIB) for making TEM lamella pending on job assignment, identify all of patterns of interest, understand lamella quality requirement and sample/beam interaction to determine optimized conditions.\n\n * Perform Focused Ion Beam (FIB) system software alignment functions. Perform routine maintenance procedures, flash, plasma clean etc.\n\n * Perform routine shut down procedure. Identify problem put tool down and call for service.\n\n * Coordinates instrument repair and maintenance. Coordinates with engineering on wafer evaluations.\n\n * Orders equipment and supplies, and coordinates with vendors and purchasing.\n\n * Contributes to Lab Operation\n\n * Interface with requestors, understand their detail requirement, and communicate on results;\n\n * help lab on monitoring wafer in process (WIP) and maintaining quality, turnaround time, and throughput.\n\n\n\n\n \nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n * Technical Diploma\n\n * 2-4 years of experience\n\n\n\n\n \nPhysical Requirements:\n\nThis position often requires extensive walking, standing for extended periods of time, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, climbing stairs and ladders, working at height, lifting up to 35 lbs., the ability to distinguish between colors and working with electricity, the ability to work in an environment with noise that may be difficult for some individuals with sensitivity to noise, and the use of hand and power tools.
