FOH Staff - Cheever's Cafe

Cheever’s Cafe has been serving up timeless dishes and heartfelt hospitality in Oklahoma City for over 25 years. We're currently hiring Bartenders, Servers, and Hosts — passionate individuals who believe in creating enduring memories and lasting relationships through intentional service and warm hospitality.

Bartenders:

As a bartender, you'll prepare and serve top-tier cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages to bar guests and dining room patrons. This position is perfect for someone who thrives under pressure, knows their spirits, and enjoys engaging with guests to provide an exceptional bar experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create high-quality drinks with speed, accuracy, and flair


• Follow all alcohol laws and safety standards


• Maintain a clean and organized bar


• Engage warmly with guests at the bar and assist the service team


• Monitor guest alcohol intake and act responsibly


• Help stock and prep the bar before and after shifts

Requirements:

• Must be 21+


• Strong knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits


• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours and lift up to 50 lbs


• A friendly, energetic personality with a guest-first mindset

Servers:

As a server, you’re the heartbeat of the dining room. We’re looking for someone who is confident, knowledgeable, and committed to hospitality. Your role is to guide guests through their experience — from warm greetings to menu suggestions to ensuring every bite and sip is just right.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide gracious and timely service


• Have strong knowledge of the menu, daily features, and drink offerings


• Take accurate orders and enter them efficiently into the POS


• Assist guests with dietary needs or questions


• Ensure tables are well-maintained throughout the meal


• Handle payment transactions

Requirements:

• Must be 21+


• Prior serving experience preferred


• Must be able to stand for up to 6 hours and lift up to 25 lbs


• Must possess strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit

Hosts:

As the first and last face guests see, our hosts create warm welcomes and fond farewells. This position is ideal for someone upbeat, organized, and quick on their feet. You’ll coordinate seating, manage the OpenTable waitlist, and make sure the dining room runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet every guest with warmth and a smile


• Answer phone calls and manage reservations in OpenTable


• Provide accurate wait times and handle special seating requests


• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand


• Assist with bussing or drink service if needed


• Thank guests upon departure and invite them back

Requirements:

• Must be 21+


• No experience required — we’ll train the right person!


• Must be able to stand for up to 6 hours


• Professional appearance and excellent communication skills
