Folding Carton Die Cutting Manager

Are you a skilled leader with hands-on experience in folding carton die cutting? We're seeking a Folding Carton Die Cutting Manager to join our team and oversee the daily operations of our cutting department. If you have a strong background as a Bobst Pressman or Die Room Pre-Press Technician and a passion for team leadership, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all activities in the die cutting department, ensuring efficient and safe production
  • Lead, motivate, and train team members to achieve production goals and maintain a clean, organized work environment
  • Track, report, and analyze key production metrics to drive continuous improvement
  • Schedule and oversee shift production, ensuring all jobs meet quality and timing requirements
  • Step in as a cutting press operator when needed
  • Order repair parts and supplies, and coordinate die re-knifing with the die room
  • Implement waste reduction and spoilage avoidance plans
  • Oversee preventive maintenance and ensure accurate documentation
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, sanitation, and quality procedures, including PPE use
  • Report any food safety issues immediately to senior management
  • Participate in the Recall Committee and support SQF (Safe Quality Food) standards

Requirements

Required Experience

  • 5+ years as a Bobst Pressman or Die Room Pre-Press Technician with supervisory or lead responsibilities
  • Proven experience as an employee trainer
  • Strong computer skills for reporting and production tracking
  • Experience working with ISO 9001:2015 standards
  • Familiarity with SQF 10 manufacturer of food packaging requirements highly preferred

Special Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to climb stairs throughout the work shift
