Food & Beverage Supervisor

Delta Hotels by Marriott Richmond Downtown is seeking a passionate and guest-focused Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our team in providing an exceptional dining experience for our guests. As a Food & Beverage Supervisor, you will play a critical role in overseeing the daily restaurant and banquet event operations. You will be working closely with the Food & Beverage leadership team to ensure the highest levels of service and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily F&B shift operation and monitor compliance with all F&B policies, standards, and procedures.


• Assist in training and supervision of front-of-house food and beverage staff.


• Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work.


• Monitor the staff and ensure all guests are being cared for during their visit.


• Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.


• Support the servers, if necessary, in taking orders, running food, clearing/cleaning tables, and greeting/seating guests.


• Understand employee positions well enough to perform duties in employees' absence.


• Ensure all legal requirements are consistently followed, including state or local laws for food safety and the sale/consumption of alcoholic beverages.


• Addresses guest complaints and reports to Food and Beverage Manager.


• Monitor the appearance, upkeep and cleanliness of all food and beverage equipment and facilities.


• Assist with the planning, organizing, and execution of events.

Qualifications:

• Previous supervisory experience ideally as a Food and Beverage Supervisor


• Culinary or cooking experience is a plus


• Ability to lead a team, establish service standards and positively influence employee behavior.


• Must have Serve Safe Food Handling and TIPS certification, or willing to obtain certification upon hire.


• Ability o work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
