As a Food & Beverage Supervisor, you will provide hands-on leadership and support across The Westgate Hotel’s food and beverage outlets, ensuring exceptional service, operational excellence, and memorable dining experiences for our guests. This role is responsible for overseeing daily outlet operations, supporting team performance, maintaining service standards, and ensuring each guest interaction reflects The Westgate Hotel’s commitment to luxury hospitality.

What Your Day-to-Day Looks Like:


The Food & Beverage Supervisor is responsible for supporting the daily operations of The Westgate Hotel’s food and beverage outlets, including Room Service, Pool Bar, Westgate Room, and Plaza Bar. This role provides leadership and guidance to service colleagues, ensures consistent execution of service standards, and serves as a key resource for both guests and team members.


The Food & Beverage Supervisor maintains a visible presence throughout service, anticipates guest needs, supports team development, and ensures all outlets operate efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality, presentation, and hospitality.


This role works closely with Food & Beverage Management, culinary teams, and other hotel departments to ensure effective communication, operational consistency, and exceptional guest experiences.


What We’re Looking For:


• Provide daily leadership, direction, and support to Food & Beverage colleagues across assigned outlets, including Room Service, Pool Bar, Westgate Room, and Plaza Bar.


• Maintain a strong presence on the floor to ensure guests receive attentive, personalized, and timely service.


• Ensure service standards and operating procedures are consistently followed in alignment with The Westgate Hotel’s luxury hospitality expectations.


• Demonstrate knowledge of all food and beverage menus, outlet offerings, service procedures, and guest experience standards.


• Provide coaching, guidance, and feedback to team members to support performance, engagement, and professional growth.


• Assist with training activities, onboarding, and ongoing development of Food & Beverage colleagues.


• Ensure effective communication between front-of-house teams, culinary teams, and hotel leadership.


• Review guest checks for accuracy and ensure proper billing procedures are followed.


• Utilize POS and reservation systems, including InfoGenesis and SevenRooms, to support efficient operations.


• Monitor outlet presentation, including cleanliness, table settings, lighting, music levels, room temperature, linens, and overall guest environment.


• Assist with inventory control, supply ordering, food and beverage requisitions, and cost management initiatives.


• Support monthly inventory processes and assist in maintaining appropriate stock levels.


• Address guest concerns and complaints promptly, professionally, and with a guest-first approach.


• Escalate operational concerns, employee issues, or guest recovery opportunities to Food & Beverage Management as needed.


• Assist with controlling labor and operational expenses while maintaining exceptional service standards.


• Support revenue growth through guest engagement, promotions, and service excellence.


• Ensure employees are informed of hotel policies, procedures, and departmental expectations.


• Attend departmental meetings and participate in operational planning as assigned.


• Maintain professionalism, accountability, and a positive leadership presence at all times.


• Deliver service that reflects The Westgate Hotel’s commitment to excellence in hospitality.


• Perform additional duties as assigned to support Food & Beverage operations.


What You Bring to the Team:


• High school diploma or equivalent required.


• Hospitality, Hotel Management, Restaurant Management, or related education preferred.


• Minimum 3–5 years of Food & Beverage experience required, with at least one year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.


• Strong understanding of full-service restaurant and hotel food and beverage operations.


• Knowledge of proper table service, sequence of service, and mise en place standards.


• Previous experience leading, training, and supporting team members in a hospitality environment.


• Strong customer service skills with a commitment to creating exceptional guest experiences.


• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.


• Ability to motivate and influence team members while maintaining accountability.


• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced luxury hotel environment.


• Proficiency with POS systems; InfoGenesis experience preferred.


• SevenRooms or hotel reservation system experience preferred.


• Current Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification required.


• Current Food Handler Card/Certificate required.


• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts based on business needs.

Physical Requirements:


• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.


• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing 20–50 pounds or more as needed.


• Ability to bend, stoop, reach overhead, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday.


• Ability to remain mobile throughout food and beverage outlets while monitoring operations and assisting guests.


• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment with frequent guest and team member interaction.

This is a non-exempt hourly position. A flexible schedule is required based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.
