Job Description - Food & Beverage Manager
Job Summary:
The Food & Beverage Manager at Cambria Hotel Columbus - Polaris is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hotel's food and beverage operations, including the restaurant, bar, catering, and room service. This role requires a strong leader with a pleasant disposition, attention to detail, and a passion for providing guests with a memorable experience. The ideal candidate will have previous management experience in the hospitality or restaurant industry, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a drive to continuously improve operations and drive revenue.
Compensation & Benefits:
This is a full-time, salaried position with competitive compensation and benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all food and beverage operations, including but not limited to, restaurant, bar, catering, and room service.
- Hire, train, and manage a team of food and beverage staff, including servers, bartender, and kitchen staff.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures to ensure consistent quality and service.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure high-quality ingredients and products.
- Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular audits to ensure accurate accounting.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to develop and implement promotional activities and events to drive revenue.
- Handle guest complaints and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and enforce proper sanitation practices.
- Continuously monitor and analyze financial performance and make adjustments to control costs and drive revenue.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate expectations, address concerns, and provide feedback.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of food and beverage management experience in the hospitality or restaurant industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing a team and driving revenue.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of food and beverage industry trends, best practices, and local market.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Point of Sale (POS) systems. Toast experience is a plus!
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
