Responsibilities: 

• Coordinating orders to ensure they are prepared in the correct sequence and ready to be served at the same time


• Checking each dish before it leaves the kitchen to ensure it meets the restaurant’s standards and order specifics


• Communicating efficiently with the kitchen and waitstaff to avoid delays and errors


• Addressing any complaints or issues, such as incorrect dishes or poorly prepared food


• Ensuring the kitchen staff adheres to health and safety standards


• Managing the flow of dishes in the kitchen to ensure efficiency


• Returning dirty dishes and utensils to the kitchen for cleaning


• Assisting with kitchen tasks when required, such as food preparation

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED a plus but not required


• Previous experience a plus


• A thorough and deep understanding of professional cooking including basic techniques and working food knowledge.


• Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.


• Professional communications skills are required
