Job Description - Food Handler

JOB SUMMARY
Ensure the meal program runs smoothly by setting up, serving, and cleaning up all meal-related items. Adhere to DFTA standards at all times.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work with diverse populations and to handle complex situations with sensitivity and professionalism

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Remove supplies from closet and set up
Set up tables and coffee station
Clean and prepare food service station
Prepare set ups (napkin, fork, spoon and knife)
Serve lunch to senior adults
Clean up food service station, remove tablecloths from table, return items from tables to closet
Put away remaining milk and juice
Keep inventory of all paper supplies
Perform daily temperature checks of meals from caterer and maintain daily logs
Attend in in-service and meetings, as required by supervisor
All other projects assigned by supervisor

OUR REQUIREMENTS

Food handler certification
DFTA training and in-service program

SALARY
$36,000 Annually; 35 hours per week
