What You’ll Do

The Food Prep and Service role supports staff in a team environment that involves the preparation, presentation, and delivery of food to residents at our Long Term Care Center. The ideal candidate works well with others and is able to follow food safety and quality control measures while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

• Helps keep the kitchen, pantry, storage areas, and equipment clean and organized.


• Prepares ingredients as needed.


• Keeps track of stock levels and lets management know when supplies are running low.


• Prepares and packs meals according to recipes, checks food temperature, follows safety rules, greets and serves residents in their neighborhood.


• Answers phone calls, takes meal orders, explains menu items, and provides recommendations to residents.


• Cleans the kitchen and food service area as needed.


• Washes dishes, cleans kitchen tools and equipment, and operates a dishwashing machine.


• Handles various tasks and duties as assigned.

Who We’re Looking For

• Reliable and dependable when scheduled.


• Seeking supplemental work, as this role does not follow a regular schedule.


• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. 


• Some previous food service experience preferred. 


• Must obtain Food Handler Certification from an ANSI accredited program within one month of hire and maintain current status throughout GRHD employment. 

What We Offer
Our total rewards package includes

• Pay Range: $15.50-$21.00/hour (based on experience)


• Shift Differentials: $2–$4/hour for nights and weekends


• PRN Differential: 10% differential in addition to base rate salary

Compensation may vary outside this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
