Food Process Engineer

The Process Engineer will have a key role in enhancing production processes within our manufacturing facility, focusing on efficiency, quality, and safety. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about process improvement, problem-solving, and compliance, with a background in food manufacturing. The Process Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, conduct research, and optimize existing processes to ensure the production of high-quality food products.
Essential Functions/Primary Responsibilities:
Process Optimization and Development:
Research and develop new processes for food manufacturing.
Enhance efficiency and product quality through process optimization.
Collaborate with teams to identify improvement areas and implement solutions.
Equipment Design and Layout:
Design equipment layout for production lines.
Collaborate with engineering teams for equipment selection and installation.
Safety and Compliance:
Establish safety procedures for hazardous materials and equipment.
Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
Conduct risk assessments and implement preventive measures.
Testing and Monitoring:
Conduct tests and monitor process performance.
Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Ensure consistent product quality by monitoring critical parameters.
Cost Estimation and Efficiency:
Estimate production costs for process changes.
Implement cost-effective solutions to enhance productivity.
Continuously evaluate processes for operational excellence.
Other Responsibilities:
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive documents.
Follow record retention guidelines.
Propose process improvements.
Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Essential Qualifications:
Education/Certification/Licensing:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Science, or related field.
Proven experience as a Process Engineer in food manufacturing.
Required Experience/Skills:
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of food safety regulations.
Proficiency in process simulation software is a plus.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Basic/Intermediate proficiency using MS Suite.
