Job Description - Food Production Manager 3






Role Overview






Creating solutions for everything from dining and nutrition to facilities maintenance and rehabilitative services, Sodexo partners with government agencies and military organizations to improve people’s quality of life and make a positive impact.

 

Sodexo is currently seeking a Food Production Manager 3 to join our team at the US Marine Corps located at Camp Lejeune, NC.  The Food Production Manager will be responsible for inventory management and procurement of food and supplies at this account to ensure client satisfaction and retention for the Company.  The production manager will manage food production through kitchen staff and will contribute to account revenue and operating profit through contribution through cost containment and safety.

  • Oversee the food service program at a long standing Govt contracts Mess Hall
  • Has an impeccable attention to detail within a food establishment
  • Someone that can deliver on tight budgetary confines 
  • Undserstands the importance of full food management contract execution
  • Can handle multiple challenges of contract management
  • Is able to act as the number two when the Operations Manager is off site
  • A leader that promotes and mentors his/her team to excellence
  • Has excellent communication skills
  • Create a positive environment
  • Ensure Sodexo Standards are met

What You Bring






  • has a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively;
  • has culinary production experience and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance;
  • has the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;
  • can demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and
  • is experienced with menu planning & forecasting processes, and understanding of safe food handling practices, qualities, and standards (e.g. HACCP forms, temperature logs, safety audits, inventory management, etc.)

Qualifications & Requirements






Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
