As a Food Runner, you will be one of the driving forces behind the cafe’s success, responsible for helping keep a smooth workflow between the kitchen and the tables while ensuring that it has been prepared to Another Broken Egg Cafe standard. We are looking for individuals who are detail oriented, organized, and energetic. Our team members must be professional, have great communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and have a great attitude to ensure a positive guest experience.

Pay

Tip share is allocated for this position. We guarantee that your hourly wage plus tips will never fall below the Virginia state minimum wage.

Main Responsibilities

• Deliver food in a timely manner while connecting with Guest and making sure they have everything they need 
• Shares responsibility for the quality of products served with the Expo 
• Ensure plates are properly garnished 
• Aware of server section for the day to ensure proper food delivery 
• Practice safe food and beverage handling. 
• Promptly address customer service issues and refer customers to management when necessary. 
• Prepares, stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at expo station to assure smooth service 
• Maintain a clean and presentable work area 
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management 

 Job Qualifications 

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Attention to detail and organization
• Must be able to read menu items
• Able to reach, bend, stoop and perform cleaning duties. 
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays, as required
• Must be able to stand and work on feet for 6-8 hours of a shift
• Must be able to lift 30+ lbs (required to carry trays and supplies)
