Food Service Coordinator - Outpatient Program

Scope of Position:  The Food Service Coordinator is responsible for breakfast and lunch service to clients in our Outpatient Programs. The Coordinator should be someone with a positive and welcoming attitude. 

Essential Position Functions: 

• Receiving daily meals from food vendor and preparing to serve them for breakfast and lunch.
• Rotating fresh fruit and beverages to maintain FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and safely
• storing them in the refrigerator and cooler when not being served during mealtimes.
• Cleaning trays, pots, and pans using the dishwasher.
• Cleaning cafeteria tables to ensure cleanliness and hygiene.
• Preparing coffee for clients using a commercial coffee pot.
• Keeping food from vendors warm in the kitchen oven until serving.
• Sweeping and mopping the cafeteria and emptying garbage after mealtimes.
• Recording every client who receives a meal for accurate tracking.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in food service or related field at minimum.
• Skills: Ability to follow instructions, basic understanding of food safety and sanitation, good interpersonal skills.
• Certifications/Licenses: Food Handlers Certificate.
• Previous experience working in a cafeteria setting and previous experience working with clients in the social services industry with diverse needs are both highly desirable.
• Schedule: Monday - Friday; 7AM-3PM
