We are looking for a full-time Food Service Director is responsible for ensuring that the nutritional services provided to each resident are met and maintained on an individual basis. Job Responsibilities
· Assume administrative authority, responsibility and accountability of directing the Culinary Services department
· Determine departmental staffing requirements necessary to meet the needs of the residents
· Assist in developing diet plans for individual residents and process diet changes and new diets as received from nursing services
· Meet with dietary personnel, on a regularly scheduled basis, concerning the operation of the department
· Exercise creativity in developing a menu; bringing an elevated dining experience to our residents
· Recommend equipment needs of the department and place orders for food, equipment and supplies, as necessary
· Make periodic rounds to check equipment and to assure that all necessary equipment is available and working properly
· Participate in inspections made by authorized government agencies; and review and assist in developing a plan of correction for departmental deficiencies if necessary
· Graduate of a Food or nutritional program or equivalent experience.
· A minimum of two years dietary experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, skilled nursing facility or other related medical facility.
· Training in cost control, food management, and diet therapy.
· ServSafe Certification required.
