Reports to – Food Service Division Director

Job Summary – Serve Shocco Springs guests and guide the Food Service department in fulfilling guest needs thorough the cooking and service of Food and management of staff

Summary of Essential Functions

• Lead all the Food Service staff by setting and evaluating goals, standards, and checklists
• Perform yearly evaluations with staff
• Day to day management of the department and staff
• Serve Shocco guests to ensure that they are served well through the Food Service Department
• Interview, hire, and train new staff
• Assign weekly schedules and daily assignments
• Oversee production of all food and its service related to Shocco
• Attend weekly meetings to discuss and plan for guests upcoming stay
• Attend Shocco leadership meetings
• Examine, clean, and maintain all Food Service Equipment and areas. These must always meet the Alabama Department of Public Health Codes.
• Create menus based of the needs of Shocco guests
• Work closely with Food Service managers to ensure the best service for Shocco guests
• Accept all miscellaneous assignments as agreed upon with director.

Job Related

• High School Diploma
• Active ServSafe Food Service Manager Certification or must be certified within 6 months of hire date
• Have 3 years of Kitchen experience
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
• Availability to work any potential Food Service shift

Physical

• Must be able to life 50lbs chest high
• Stand for at least 8 to 12 hours a day
• Be able to verbally communicate well with staff and guests
