Role Overview






Sodexo is seeking an Food Services Manager  2 for Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center, a 365 bed community hospital located in Montclair, NJ.  The manager will oversee a team serving patient meals, and supporting cafeteria retail.  In this role you will be a part of the Sodexo management team, reporting to the Food GM.  The schedule for this role is primarily Monday-Friday, however may include some weekends and evening shifts. 

 

At this locaiton, parking and meals are free for employees. 









What You'll Do






  • manage all daily food operations through hourly and supervisory frontline associates
  • maintain food and health & safety logs within Sodexo and hospital guidelines and requirements
  • ensure trainings remain up to date for all hourly associates, for both Sodexo and hospital related trainings
  • effectively mentor and develop the food services team
  • implement innovative and fresh ideas in retail, catering and patient services
  • cultivate effective interpersonal relationships with patients, customers, and clients in hospital

What You Bring






  • a strong production culinary background, ideally in an up-scale restaurant/retail/catering environment;
  • experience leading and engaging a culinary and/or food services team
  • Servsafe certified as well as working knowledge of HACCP and experience with Health and Safety audits
  • familiarity with Sodexo processes and systems (preferred, not required)

Qualifications & Requirements






Minimum Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED or Equivalent
Minimum Management Experience - 1 year
