Food Service Supervisor

START DATE: 8/26/2024

Family Time Meals, DBA Hailey and Hannah’s Lunch Runners, is a food service company whose daily purpose is to accommodate our partners and customers (schools and daycare) with food service hospitality. We carry out this mission each day with friendly food service professionals who prepare and deliver homestyle dishes. We are expanding this summer from school food to corporate catering.

The job of Food Service Supervisor is providing supervision of the food service activities with specific responsibilities for maintaining facilities in a safe and sanitary condition; preparing food; verifying quality of food and supplies, and ensuring food is prepared and packed out in a timely and accurate manner. This person will also be responsible for ensuring that we have enough food on hand. The Food Service Supervisor should possess: a food handler’s license and a valid driver’s license.

Schedule

4:00am-12:00pm (full time)

Location

The primary location for this position is 271-11 Union Turnpke, New Hyde Park, NY 11040.

Pay and Benefits

Pay based on experience

10 sick days (accrued)

5 vacation days (accrued after 3 months employment)

401K after 3 months of employment

Potential for health insurance after 3 months of employment

Qualifications

Supervisory experience in institutional food service

Experience with food preparation and delivery

Ability to function in a high paced environment

Essential Functions

Supervises the needs of the institutional food service program and catering program

Inspects food items and/or supplies for the purpose of verifying quantity, quality and specifications of orders and/or complying with mandated health standards.

Inventories food, condiments and supplies for the purpose of ensuring availability of items required for meeting projected menu requirements.

Maintains equipment, storage, food preparation and serving areas in a sanitary condition for the purpose of complying with current health standards.

Other Responsibilities Include:

Packing out food in a timely manner

Uphold and promote Lunch Runner’s mission and vision

Perform other duties as needed to support the ongoing development and growth of Lunch Runners
