40 hours (Morning/Day Shift)
Thursday - Monday (Tuesday/Wednesday OFF)
Food Service Worker JOB SUMMARY:

Together, these facilities offer patients the best rehab and nursing care they can obtain after their hospital discharge.
The role of the Food Service Worker is to provide our residents with all of their meals and/or snacks in a sanitary and safe manner adhering to all policies and procedures of the facility while focusing on customer service and satisfaction.
Proper “in kitchen” preparation and cleaning in regard to the station assigned to you.
Prepares and serves meals, beverages, and snacks in accordance with residents’ dietary restrictions and facility recipes
Assembles and delivers trays or serves meals (both cold & hot) in the main dining room, ensuring accuracy and quality
Maintains cleanliness of assigned station, kitchen equipment, and food service areas
Handles food safely and follows all sanitation, hygiene, and infection control standards
Delivers and retrieves food carts from nursing units; stocks nursing unit pantries with nourishments
Washes dishes and utensils; takes out garbage and performs sweeping/mopping duties in kitchen and dining areas
Assists with special function setups and breakdowns as directed
Uses kitchen tools and cleaning chemicals safely, in compliance with facility guidelines
Provides respectful and responsive customer service to residents and team members
Follows break schedules, service times, and daily task assignments consistently
Participates in required in-service training and maintains reliable attendance
Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Maintains knowledge of HIPAA, safety, and facility policies and procedures.
Requirements
Some High School Education
Experience working in a kitchen in a healthcare setting preferred but not required
Excellent communication and organization skills.
Ability to work well under pressure and be flexible.
Exemplary customer service skills.
