Food Service Worker

We are seeking a dedicated Food Service Operation Worker to join our team. This role involves preparing, cooking, and serving food in large quantities while maintaining high sanitation standards to ensure food safety. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, work efficiently within a team, and uphold cleanliness and safety guidelines.

• Food Preparation & Cooking: Process, prepare, and cook a variety of food items, ensuring proper portion sizes and consistency for both regular and modified diets.


• Equipment Operation & Safety: Safely operate electrical and mechanical kitchen equipment with moving parts and high temperatures. Utilize sharp utensils while maintaining safety precautions.


• Food Service: Set up the serving line and serve food onto trays (tray line and cafeteria). Portion food into containers or trays using repetitive motions.


• Physical Demands: Walk or stand for up to 80% of the workday, bend/stoop, and lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted and up to 75 lbs. with assistance. Work in environments where floors may be wet or slippery (slip-resistant shoes required).


• Cleaning & Sanitization: Perform cleaning and sanitizing duties, including washing dishes, sweeping, mopping, sanitizing equipment, and disposing of trash properly.


• Transportation & Cart Handling: Operate food transport vehicles or assist as a vehicle safety spotter when backing vehicles. Push food carts and climb in/out of vehicles as needed.


• Cashiering: Operate a cash register when needed for cafeteria service.

• Prior experience in food service, kitchen operations, or a similar role preferred.


• Ability to follow food safety guidelines and maintain cleanliness.


• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with exposure to heat, cold, and moisture.


• Availability to work weekends and holidays as part of a rotating schedule.


• Strong teamwork and communication skills.


• Ability to lift, push, and carry heavy items as required by the job.
