Food Service Worker with Cashing

Job Title: Food Service Worker – School Cafeteria (with Cashiering Responsibilities)

Location: Starpoint High School

Pay Rate: $15.50

Schedule: Part-time,  10:00 am- 1:00 pm school-day hours (Monday–Friday)

Position Summary:

Personal Touch Food Service, Inc. is seeking a reliable and motivated Food Service Worker to join our school cafeteria team. This role includes food preparation, service, and operating a point-of-sale system to provide nutritious meals in a clean, friendly, and efficient environment for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with food preparation and portioning in accordance with standardized recipes and menu guidelines.

Serve meals to students and staff courteously and efficiently.

Set up and restock serving lines, salad bars, and condiment stations.

Operate a cash register or point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and handle transactions responsibly.

Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, utensils, equipment, and work areas.

Comply with all federal, state, and local food safety regulations and company procedures.

Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food and supply inventory.

Maintain accurate production and temperature logs.

Follow all cleaning and sanitation schedules.

Support special dietary needs and allergy accommodations under supervision.

Work effectively with team members and communicate professionally with students and staff.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Food Service Manager or Supervisor.

Qualifications:

Prior food service or cashiering experience in a school or similar setting preferred

Ability to operate a cash register and handle money accurately

Strong attention to cleanliness and food safety standards

Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced school environment

Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds
