Job Description - Ford Heavy Duty Technician



**$10,000 SIGN ON BONUS**


Becoming a Master Heavy Duty Auto Technician means becoming a top-class expert, professional development and an opportunity to impact people’s lives through a better driving experience.


We are seeking a Ford certified Heavy Vehicle Service Technician to maintain and repair large vehicles such as trucks, buses, and heavy construction equipment.  The candidate will be responsible for diagnosing mechanical issues, repairing vehicle systems, and performing routine maintenance tasks.  The candidate should have in-depth knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and other components of heavy machinery.

Responsibilities:



  • Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately

  • Perform routine maintenance work aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity

  • Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues

  • Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job

  • Keep logs on work and issues

  • Maintain equipment and tools in good condition

  • Follow all safety policies and procedures


IDEAL CANDIDATE POSSESSES THESE ATTRIBUTES:



  • Ford certification

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 5-8 years of automotive technician experience

  • Valid driver’s license and state inspection license
