Job Description:

Rush Truck Centers is seeking a skilled and motivated Ford Service Technician to join our service team. This role is critical to keeping our customers’ trucks on the road through expert maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs. You’ll work with cutting-edge tools and technology while being part of a high-performing team focused on quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• 
  

  Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems on commercial trucks

  
  


• 
  

  Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections

  
  


• 
  

  Document repairs and services performed accurately

  
  


• 
  

  Use diagnostic software and tools to identify and resolve vehicle issues

  
  


• 
  

  Communicate with service advisors and customers regarding repair timelines and needs

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain a clean and organized work environment

  
  


• 
  

  Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times

  
  


• 
  

  Continuously expand knowledge through company-provided training and certifications
  
  

  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  

  Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on commercial truck or diesel service experience preferred

  
  


• 
  

  Technical Skills: Strong ability to troubleshoot complex systems using diagnostic software

  
  


• 
  

  Certifications: ASE or manufacturer certifications preferred (Cummins, etc.)

  
  


• 
  

  Problem Solving: Capable of identifying issues and providing effective solutions under pressure

  
  


• 
  

  Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills

  
  


• 
  

  Technology: Comfortable using diagnostic platforms and repair software

  
  


• 
  

  Attitude: Self-motivated, reliable, and committed to high standards of workmanship

  
  


• 
  

  License: Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or willingness to obtain preferred
