Job Description - Ford Service Technician Trainer

We are seeking a skilled Service Technician Trainer to join our team.  This individual will be responsible for developing, leading, and implementing training programs for our service technicians.  The ideal candidate will have extensive technical knowledge, a passion for teaching, and the ability to coach technicians at all levels to ensure consistent, high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop and deliver technical training programs for service technicians, focusing on diagnostics, repairs, safety, and manufacturer procedures.

  • Conduct hands-on training sessions, and on-the-job coaching.

  • Ensure all technicians are up-to-date with manufacturer certifications and training requirements.

  • Evaluate technician performance and provide feedback to improve skills and efficiency

  • Collaborate with service managers to identify training needs and create customized learning paths

  • Maintain training materials and stay current on industry trends, tools, and technologies

  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development with the service department.


Qualifications:



  • Prior experience as a Master Technician, Technical Trainer, or related role in the automotive industry.

  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.

  • Excellent communications and presentation skills.

  • Ability to coach, mentor, and inspire others

  • Manufacturer certifications preferred
