Foreman

Description

Pivot Excavation is currently hiring FULL-TIME Foreman to work YEAR-ROUND. This is a leadership position that will include a company vehicle. The candidate must have experience with wet & dry utility installation, repair, and backfill. The candidate must also have experience with footing excavation and backfill. You should have some road, curb, and sidewalk grading experience. Though we are based out of Draper, most of our work is in Utah County. We primarily work on large development and commercial jobs. Pay will be based on experience. Applicants must be able to pass a drug screen and background check and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Follow instructions given by the site Superintendent 
• Manage a 3 to 5-man crew
• Ability to read plans and calculate slope and grade
• Is familiar with local codes and inspection requirements, ensuring code compliance regulations are met.
• Show up on time each day
• Help create a safe work environment
• Use various hand and power tools
• Shoot grade
• Assist and supervise crew in every aspect of the work
• Maintain a clean work environment
• All other tasks as assigned by the Superintendent 
• Resolve issues as they arise. 

Requirements

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in a lead/foreman position
• Must be a highly skilled operator (this is not an entry-level position)
• Maintain a safe job site
• Development/ Commercial experience preferred
• Willingness to work in hot, cold, and wet conditions
• Works well as the leader of a team
• Strong Work Ethic
• Willing to work overtime as needed
• Able to lift up to 75lbs regularly
• Must be able to prioritize and keep projects on schedule.
