Forge Process Technician

Setup forge press to produce a variety of forgings. Visually and dimensionally inspect forgings for conformance to required customer specifications and requirements. Achieve forge uptime, quality, rework, and scrap targets that are set by the Forging Manager.

• Receives instructions and work assignments from forge shop supervisor.
• Follows safety procedures.
• Follows work procedures and SOP’s.
• Follows work instructions.
• Follows control plans.
• Reads and interprets forging blueprints and written customer specifications.
• Pre-production approval to be signed off by Forge Process Technician and Quality Inspector. 
• Ensures equipment and work areas are clean and orderly condition at all times.
• Train, insure, and enforce that workforce is following procedures, work instructions, control plans, SPC, company policies, and      safety procedures.
• Review forge tools in order to direct repairs to tool shop.
• Perform minor repairs to tools.
