Forklift Operator

McIntosh Box and Pallet is looking for a Forklift Operator with experience also operating machines to join our team in Buffalo, NY!

We are looking for a technically skilled individual with great attention to detail to join our team as a Forklift Operator but also with experience to operate a different machines.

Shift: 6am to 3pm Monday to Friday with the opportunity for some overtime on weekends when needed

Pay: $20 per hour but negotiable based on experience

The Forklift and Material Handler will be responsible for moving materials to different locations throughout the facility and in the yard. They will also assist in operating different wood processing equipment following detailed instructions to ensure accurate cuts are made. They will need to be flexible and have the ability to work between different tasks as needed.

A Forklift and Machine Operator's Responsibilities:

• Load and unload materials from trucks and ensure they are in the correct locations
• Ensure all required inspections are completed
• Inspect vehicles for damage
• Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs
• Secure loads for transport
• Operate and manage different machinery
• Set up machines in accordance with established procedures
• Ensure all safety guidelines are followed
• Stack lumber from machine outfeeds
• Follow cut sheets and ensure accuracy
• Troubleshoot issues that arise

Requirements

• 3-5 years of Forklift operation experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Good mathematical skills
• Ability to read measurements to the sixteenth
• Strong Mechanical aptitude
