Forklift Operator

Description

• Move Raw materials, or stock,  to and from storage or production areas utilizing forklift, pallet jacks or other machinery
• Inspects equipment before use and reports malfunctions, repairs needed or concerns.
• Maintain inventory of supplies. Rotate stock as required.
• Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information
• Read work orders to receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or equipment needs.
• Ensures that all equipment is in safe and operating status. Ensures that any issues are addressed and corrected in a timely manner.
• Complete paperwork as necessary and in a timely manner.
• Supervise and ensure that warehouse is cleaned on a regular basis including waste disposal as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned by  Warehouse Manager or Warehouse Supervisor

Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent education.
• Must have experience operating stand up forklift 
• Experience using an Inventory Scan gun and Warehouse Inventory System is preferred
