Forklift Operator

Description

Objective

Mack Industries is looking for a certified and experience forklift operator who is capable of safely operating within areas such as production areas and yard.

Essential Functions

• Work collaboratively with supervision to complete the scheduled shipping, receiving, loading, organizing, and moving of materials and product
• Assist drivers in delivery preparation by ensuring correct product and materials and equipment are correctly and safely loaded and coordinate with load sheets
• Safely and effectively places loads in accordance to weight requirements and positioning for safe transportation and/or storing within the yard
• Perform routine equipment inspections and maintenance on equipment and tools and report issues to supervision
• Safely moves materials and products throughout production and yard
• Willingness to develop new skills and progress current skills in pump station system installation
• Willingness to assist other departments as needed

Requirements

Education and Training

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certified Forklift operator required
• Years of experience can replace educational experience

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience preferred
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
• Basic equipment maintenance a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Environment Conditions and Physical Strain

• Construction environment, seasonal weather conditions
• Due to the nature of the operation, the levels of noise, dust and dirt can be high.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs, on occasion
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to squat, crawl and kneel to complete tasks
