Forklift Operator- 2nd Shift

Job Summary:   This position will be responsible for upholding all Safety and Quality standards set forth by the company. This person must be able to multitask and work in adverse conditions. This person must be familiar with food safety and sanitation standards related to food safety. Assure that warehouse is clean and organized. Must be able to communicate well with coworkers. Other responsibilities as needed by supervisor.

  Position Responsabilities:

• Load truck for scheduled deliveries.
• Coordinate with the office manager to ensure warehouse productivity.
• Assure that trucks are supplied with product in a timely manner.
• Assure that forklift and warehouse equipment is working properly and safely.
• Bring forth new ideas regarding the Warehouse Department.
• Promote company policy and philosophy.
• Communicate with Office Manager, Sales and Drivers on a daily basis to assure accuracy in deliveries and product received, report any discrepancies to supervisor.
• Assure quality based on company standards.
• Follow GMP's, Quality & Food Safety Programs as noted in SQF Code and in the company's Food Safety and Quality Manual. 
• Report all food safety and quality issues to the direct supervisor and Quality Department for corrective actions to ensure product compliance.
• May be assigned other work as deemed necessary 

• 1-2 years experience in a similar role
• Minimum of 1 year in Food Manufacturing experience is a plus
• Excellent communication skills
• Forklift  experience
• 1 year of previous production experience is a plus
• Flexible/Weekly changing schedule/weekends
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods 
• Walk on uneven ground and wet or slippery floors
• Twisting, turning, kneeling, stooping and bending most of the day
• May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Exposure to spices (allergens) including but not limited to soy and wheat
• Exposure to high noise levels and high heat environment

PPE - Slip resistant shoes, hair and beard net, safety glasses and ear plugs are required in the food manufacturing work areas, gloves are recommended.

Schedule: 2nd Shift (1:00 PM to 9:00 PM)
