Forklift Operator, II

Performs the physical and/or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, distributing Certification on powered industrial trucks sit down, dock stocker and powered pallet jacks. Performs quality checks on outbound and inbound shipments. Picks and stages orders for shipping Load, unload, putaway, stack, and stage product and materials using a forklift or other power equipment. Executes ERP system transactions on outbound and inbound shipments. Learns to use handheld RF scanners and Warehouse Management System to fulfill orders. Maintains inventory accuracy. Handles and controls hazardous material on both inbound and outbound. Complies with 5S safety, housekeeping practices, and regulations. Completes all required safety training and follows protocol in all risk situations. Uses Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate to tasks at hand. Certification on powered industrial trucks sit down, dock stocker and powered pallet jacks. Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to forklift operation. Capable of standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods. Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 75 pounds. Certification on powered industrial trucks sit down, stand-up, reach, cherry picker and powered pallet jacks. Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse setting or similar environment High school diploma or GED Proficiency in operating all industrial forklifts within the facility Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Knowledge of multiple area of functional responsibility (inbound, outbound forklift roles) Requires full knowledge of own area of functional responsibility Certification in operating various type of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, pallet jacks) is a plus.
