The Production Forklift Driver is responsible for operating powered industrial trucks to load, unload, and move materials throughout the production facility in a safe and efficient manner. This position supports production operations by ensuring timely delivery and staging of raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished goods. The Forklift Driver must follow all safety guidelines, adhere to operational procedures, and maintain proper documentation for inventory movement.
Education: High school diploma or GED required; equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Experience / Qualifications:
· Valid forklift certification required.
· Minimum of 1–2 years of experience operating forklifts in a production, warehouse, or
manufacturing environment.
· Working knowledge of material handling procedures and safety standards.
· Ability to work independently and follow verbal and written instructions.
Duties and Responsibilities: Food safety is the responsibility of every employee. Any issues should be brought to the immediate attention of area supervisor or manager.
1. Safely operate forklift.
2. Receive all cans and ingredients through Assistics software to include
scanning and stickering.
3. Maintain inventory accuracy and FIFO.
4. Supply proper cans & lids to each production line running, consult Daily
Schedule & MMF for requirements.
5. Unload & receive cans, Ingredients, etc. following all production & safety
procedures.
6. Keep inventory of brine ingredients on the 3rd floor and can room racks and rows.
7. Keep the can room organized and orderly as well as the outside dock
area.
8. Check the Forklift and fill out Forklift safety check list at the
beginning of every shift.
9. Notify the Purchasing Department of any unusually low inventory of
cans, lids, or ingredients.
10. Perform general maintenance on forklift, report any mechanical
issues for needed repairs immediately.
11. Must follow all GMP’s associated with this position.
12. Empty trash hoppers as needed – clean and sanitize before returning
to service.
13. Maintain a positive teamwork atmosphere by acting, communicating
and helping co-workers.
14. Cooperate and do any other job assigned by supervisor

Position Requirements: Must be certified by OSHA as a certified Forklift Driver.
Work Schedule:
This position typically follows the hours of the shift scheduled to work; however, working days may vary based on season. Typically, Monday through Friday. Very often Saturday. 12 hours Shifts may be required during busy times.
Hours:
2nd Shift - 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
20 minutes paid lunch
Please Note: If hired you will need to train on 1st shift for up to 17 days with a trainer.
Salary: Up to $21.32 per hr.
Earn Bonus Incentives:
2nd/3rd Shift Differential -$1.00 per hour
Attendance Bonus -$0.50 per hour
1st Pass Quality Bonus-$0.50 per hour
