JOB SUMMARY
Carpenters/Form Setters perform various carpentry tasks involving physical labor on highway, road, and bridge construction projects. They build forms for retaining walls, pipes, and bridges. Carpenters/Form Setters utilize their own tools and work efficiently and safely.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Responsible for forming, bracing, and securing structure forms
- Align plum forms
- Bracing forms
- Build forms for retaining walls, pipes, and bridges
- Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Basic knowledge of operating hand and power tools used in construction
- Knowledge of how to properly read and understand construction plans, sketches, and blueprints
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of previous carpenter experience in all types of structural forms in Symon, EFCO, and Wood forms for CIP
- Advanced wood forming experience
- must have your own hand tools, such as a hammer, pouch, level, 8” crescent wrench, tape measure, etc.
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (prolonged physical exertions, including standing. reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and climbing)
- Ability to work in various conditions with exposure to weather elements
- Flexibility to work day, night, and weekends as needed
- Pile Driving Experience is a plus
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening
WORK CONDITIONS
Field work with exposure to construction sites, noise, dust, and weather conditions.
Physical work including lifting, carrying, and operation of machinery.
