Forming Supervisor

Description

Job Summary: The Forming Supervisor will oversee all bending and forming functions within the fabrication shop, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety. This role involves managing a team of forming operators, maintaining equipment, and optimizing forming techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise Forming Operations: Oversee daily bending and forming processes, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards. This may include operating the machines. 
• Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of forming operators, providing training and support to enhance their skills      and performance.
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all forming equipment is properly maintained and serviced, coordinating repairs and upgrades as needed.
• Quality Control: Monitor forming processes to ensure products meet quality specifications, conducting inspections and      implementing corrective actions when necessary.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and procedures, conducting regular safety audits and training sessions.
• Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvements, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency      and reduce waste.
• Reporting: Maintain accurate records of forming operations, production metrics, and equipment maintenance.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a fabrication shop, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in bending and forming techniques and equipment, including press brakes, roll forming      machines, and other forming tools.
• Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a focus on process optimization and quality improvement.
• Communication: Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with team members and management.
• Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a fabrication environment.
