Formulation & CM Oversight

Someone who knows formulation inside and out — even if they’re not the one mixing the beakers.

What You’ll Do:
You’ll be the technical lead and liaison between Concepta and our network of contract manufacturers (CMs). You won’t be formulating yourself but you’ll ensure every new skincare, haircare, and supplement product is technically sound, cost-efficient, and aligned with our brand promise.

Your responsibilities include:

• Translating product briefs into technically feasible formulations with our external labs
• Auditing and evaluating contract manufacturers
• Advising on ingredient choices, reviewing formulas, and identifying ways to reduce costs
• Supporting regulatory documentation alongside consultants (you won’t own filings directly)
• Maintaining clear version histories and formula logic to build a foundation for future IP
• Helping Concepta prepare for formulation ownership as the brand grows

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years in cosmetics or supplements product development
• Experience working directly with or in contract manufacturing labs
• Background in formulation development — you understand INCI, specs, and how formulas work
• Strong communication skills and project ownership
• Ability to evaluate formulations and spot cost-saving opportunities
• Based in or willing to relocate to Miami (on-site lab visits required)

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience in startup or indie beauty brands
• Familiarity with MoCRA and U.S. cosmetic regulatory standards
• Prior work with celebrity or private label brands
• Education in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Cosmetic Science
