Location: Redwood City, CA

Work arrangement: On-site - The role requires on-site work five days a week, Monday through Friday, plus one weekend day.

Compensation: $230K - $270K base

Experience: 4 - 16 years

Bar admission: California

About the opportunity

This is a pivotal opportunity for the firm's first dedicated legal hire, offering direct ownership in building a legal function from the ground up. The practice focuses on complex commercial transactions and novel legal challenges within voice AI.

What you'll do

• Negotiate and close enterprise agreements swiftly.


• Develop contract templates and negotiation playbooks.


• Define legal positions on voice AI issues.


• Partner with Sales on enterprise deals.


• Manage platform terms and outside counsel.

What you bring (required)

• Active bar admission in California.


• Commercial or technology transactions experience.


• Hands-on M&A and DPA redlining experience.


• Experience with privacy and AI regulation.


• Proven ability to build legal processes from scratch.
