Job Description - Founding Engineer

 We've partnered with a founder in the spacetech space to help him find founding engineers.  He's building out the space resources economy to enable eventual human presence in space.  His first product on the roadmap is a novel way to collect lunar rocks for research and private sales purposes. The role will work onsite in the Hawthorne, CA office, and he's hiring multiple engineers in this capacity.

 

You may be a fit if:


You want to:



  • Build a sick machine, test it in the desert, and then put it on the Moon

  • Have high ownership, responsibility, and decision-making freedom

  • Be full-time in-person in the Hawthorne/El Segundo region of Los Angeles, CA

  • Enable humans to choose fulfilling lives in space


You have:



  • Experience designing & building cutting-edge hardware

  • A degree in engineering or a hard science

  • The ability to obtain authorization to work with ITAR-restricted data (e.g. are a US Person under 22 C.F.R. § 120.62)


You might have:



  • More than one engineering/science degree

  • Experience building space or defense hardware

  • Military experience
