Foundry Helper

Description

Must learn and do any non-production manual job necessary to the operation of the Foundry. Main work assignments may include:

• Scrap breakage
• Move castings, core cases and returns from Machine Shop and Foundry in and out of storage areas
• Haul metal and other materials
• Conduct various housekeeping functions to keep the Foundry and its equipment orderly and clean
• Unload and store Foundry supplies
• Conduct any production operation to which assigned in order to gain experience and training for higher rated work

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent.

• Ability to ascend and descend large equipment.
• Ability to lift, push and pull heavy items.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work with limited supervision to production standards and requirements.
• Availability for shift work and overtime required.
