Framing and Art Technician

Job Summary:

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and creative individual who is passionate about art and design to join our team as a Framing and Art Technician. This role combines artistic sensibility with hands-on craftsmanship to produce custom frames that enhance and protect a wide range of artwork. Key Responsibilities

• Design and build custom frames for artwork including photographs, prints, paintings, and memorabilia


• Accurately measure and cut frame components, matboards, and glazing materials


• Mount, mat, and assemble artwork using archival techniques and materials


• Handle artwork with care to ensure its preservation throughout the framing process


• Guide clients in selecting frame styles, colors, and layouts that best complement their pieces


• Maintain a tidy, well-organized workspace and ensure tools and materials are properly cared for


• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering framing supplies as needed


• Stay informed on current trends, materials, and techniques in the framing industry


• Ensure all projects are completed on time and meet quality standards


• Package and ship framed artwork securely and professionally

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in custom picture framing preferred


• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship


• Proficient with hand tools and framing equipment (e.g., miter saws, underpinners, mat cutters)


• A good eye for design and color, with a professional and friendly approach to client interactions


• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting


• Eagerness to learn and grow within the role


• Experience with packing and shipping framed artwork is required

Location- Noor Studio & Gallery

Compensation Range:  $16-17 per hour

Full time or Part Time
