HAPO is now accepting applications for a Fraud Analyst in Kennewick, WA. We are seeking an individual who is ambitious, self-motivated and who strives to represent HAPO’s core commitment “Be in the Moment” and standard of service “Defy Expectations” with our members, community as well as the team they are a part of. The Fraud Analyst is responsible to investigate and resolve fraud cases including identity theft or unauthorized usage of accounts and services once they are alerted of potential fraud incidents, they ask questions, fill out paperwork, assist with refunds, and assist members in changing account numbers. Fraud Analysts also seek to discover the source of the fraud, and they notify proper authorities. Fraud Analysts must be able to brainstorm new techniques to help prevent future fraudulent activity from happening. The Fraud Analyst must be proficient in Regulation E, compliant with all banking regulations, be empathetic, communicate clearly and provide accurate information to ensure a positive member experience.


Essential Job Functions include but are not limited to: 

  • Must be accurate at the posting of transactions 
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work with a large capacity of work, producing minimal error. 
  • Must be capable of multi-tasking. 
  • Answer a high volume of phone calls to support front line and call center
  • Communicate with members on sensitive issues
  • File necessary documentation in database imaging software. 
  • Coordinate and collaborate with HAPO’s internal Compliance Department. 
  • Ability to pull and monitor/process reports daily. 
  • Must understand Regulation CC requirements related to funds availability.
  • General knowledge of HAPO’s products and services, credit union rules, regulations, and policies. 
  • Provide periodic training to front line staff.

Requirements: 

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate
  • Bilingual proficiency is preferred; however, it is not required
     

Location: On-Site Kennewick (WA)

Schedule: Must be able to work M-F, 35-40 hours a week between the hours of 9:00am – 6:00pm. 

Starting Hourly Pay Range (DOE): $23.42 – $35.12 

*Typically, Selected candidates are hired between the minimum and midpoint range, based on applicable experience and qualifications.
