Freelance Graphic Designer

 InstroTek, Inc. is seeking a talented and versatile Independent project-based Freelance Graphic Designer to support our specialized creative and marketing needs. Assignments, deliverables, schedules, and project scope will be established as projects are identified. The opportunity may involve multiple projects over time, depending on business needs and the freelancer’s availability. This project-based opportunity is ideal for a creative professional who can work independently, manage assignments efficiently, and produce polished, professional content across a variety of marketing channels.

The freelancer will develop artwork and creative content for InstroTek’s print, digital, email, social media, website, and trade show marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate has strong graphic design skills, a solid understanding of branding, and the ability to translate concepts and project requirements into effective visual materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Graphic Design & Creative Production: Develop high-quality artwork, layouts, graphics, and visual content for print and digital applications while maintaining consistent brand standards.
• Marketing Collateral: Design and produce brochures, flyers, product materials, presentations, email graphics, social media content, trade show displays, and other branded marketing materials.
• Digital Marketing Support: Create visual assets for email campaigns, websites, social media platforms, and other digital marketing initiatives.
• Image Editing & Photography: Edit and enhance product photographs and other images, including background removal, color correction, image cleanup, and preparation for print and digital use.
• Website & Content Support: Assist with preparing and updating visual content for InstroTek’s website and other online marketing channels.
• Creative Technology & AI Tools: Use tools such as Adobe AI tools, Canva, ChatGPT, and other emerging creative technologies to improve efficiency and support content development.
• File Preparation & Production: Prepare print-ready artwork and properly formatted digital files, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with project specifications.
• Project Coordination: Manage assigned projects, communicate progress, meet agreed-upon deadlines, and coordinate with InstroTek team members and outside vendors as needed.
• Feedback & Revisions: Incorporate feedback, make revisions, and deliver final materials that align with project objectives and established brand guidelines.

•  Graphic Design Principles: Strong understanding of layout, typography, color theory, branding, image composition, and design for print and digital applications.
• Adobe Creative Suite: Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat, with working knowledge of Illustrator. Ability to independently complete routine design and image-editing tasks.
• Marketing Collateral Development: Demonstrated ability to create professional brochures, flyers, email graphics, trade show materials, presentations, social media assets, and other marketing collateral.
• Digital & Social Media Marketing: Familiarity with social media platforms, digital content creation, publishing, audience engagement, and content calendar management.
• Photography & Image Editing: Ability to edit, enhance, and prepare images for professional marketing use.
• AI & Emerging Creative Tools: Experience with ChatGPT, Canva, Adobe AI tools, or similar platforms to support creative development and improve productivity.
• Creative Judgment & Attention to Detail: Strong visual judgment and the ability to produce polished, accurate work that follows established brand standards.
• Organization & Time Management: Ability to manage multiple assignments, prioritize work, and meet agreed-upon deadlines while maintaining quality.
• Independent Work & Problem Solving: Ability to work with limited supervision, clarify project requirements, troubleshoot routine design issues, and recognize when additional direction is needed.
• Collaboration & Communication: Professional communication skills, responsiveness to feedback, and the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
• Computer & Office Technology: Comfortable working in a Mac/Apple environment, with familiarity with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Teams.

Experience

Minimum Experience: Two years of professional experience in graphic design, marketing, creative production, or a related field.

Relevant Experience:

• Hands-on experience developing print and digital marketing materials.
• Experience creating brochures, email campaigns, social media graphics, presentations, trade show materials, and branded collateral.
• Familiarity with image editing, website content, and digital or social media marketing.
• Experience with product photography or motion graphics is a plus.

Education

An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent professional experience and a strong portfolio may be considered in place of a degree.
