FRENCH & SPANISH TRANSLATOR - Rewarding Work

We are seeking a skilled Translator to accurately interpret written and audio pieces in various languages while preserving their original meaning, format, and tone.

As a Translator, your responsibilities will include carefully reading and comprehending the context of the given material, utilizing specialized dictionaries and translation tools, and meticulously proofreading the final translations. Success in this role requires exceptional attention to detail and fluency in at least two additional languages, in addition to your native language.

Duties:

• Delivering translation projects on time
• Ensure no duplication of translation
• Prepare files for translation by vendors
• Assisting with other general translation work
• Provide error-free translation of materials
• Deliver translation requestor per project specifications
• Maintaining the database of the translation department
• Facilitating the language translation process for products
• Correct formatting of translated documents
• Proofread test procedure materials and presentation materials
• Managing incoming translation projects and various translation agencies
• Review all German translations for the website
• Resolve translation errors as well as to reduce translation length and complexity
• Provide linguistic feedback to third-party translation providers
• Maintain flexibility in obtaining translations particularly as relates to urgent translation requests
• Publish electronic versions of translated documents
• Manage all translation projects, making sure all translation deadlines are met in order to maintain overall project timelines
• Perform straight translation (English to Chinese) and reverse translation (Chinese to English)
• Travel both domestic and international to perform translation services
• Receive feedback on translations from translation team, editing teams, technicians/customers, other departments and factories and implement feedback in translation projects.
• Follow up with internal team members and clients to ensure translation meets their needs
• Proofread translated texts for grammar, spelling and punctuation accuracy.

Requirements and skills:

• Proven work experience as a Translator, Interpreter or similar role.
• Fluency in at least two languages in addition to your native language.
• Excellent proofreading skills with the ability to identify grammar, spelling and punctuation errors.
• Good knowledge of content editing tools.
• Familiarity with translation software.
• Time-management skills.
• Additional certification in Linguistics is a plus
