Fresh Product Repack Specialist (Warehouse)

Location: FoodPRO-Frederick, MD

Reports To: Director, Produce Division

Summary

We are looking for a full-time person to repack produce and meats into smaller pack sizes while focusing on the quality of our products. The hours will be from 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM Monday through Friday.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Product Knowledge: understands sizes, varieties, sensitivity, location, and background of products.
• Quality Assurance: ensuring proper quality and quantity for customer orders: expresses neatness and care through proper order selection.
• Equipment Operations: understands and is properly trained on how to operate and maintain mechanical equipment: complies with facility rules in regards to usage and traffic flow: enforces safe and effective use of equipment among fellow associates.
• Facility Maintenance: maintains upkeep and cleanliness of facility: creates an organized and workable environment: respects all company property and equipment.
• Professionalism: ability to communicate effectively: ability to assist and go above of what is asked of: expresses concern and care for the company and fellow associates: develops proper tools that makes a good leader.
• Food Safety: Dedication to Food Safety practices and ongoing dedication to providing the safest and highest quality product available.
• Equipment: Ability to accurately use scales, understand weights and measures

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

• Produce/meat/dairy handling experience
• Working knowledge of warehouse operations
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background report
• Knowledge of computers, excel, and ability to learn proprietary software

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with repacking items
• Knowledge of safe food handling practices
• Fork Lift Certified (or the ability to become certified)
• Motorized pallet jack experience desired
• Grocery Meat or Produce department a plus

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs
• Must be able to work for extended period of time in 32 degree cooler
• Bend, stoop, twist and lift on a repetitive basis
• Stand and walk on concrete floors for extended period of time

Education: High School Diploma

Position Details:

Hours: M-F 6:30 am – 3:30 pm

Pay Rate: $18-20/hr
