Full-Time Position | Monday - Friday Pay: $25/hour Fall & Spring Hours: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM Summer Hours: 8:15 AM – 5:15 PM
We are looking for a dedicated, flexible, and highly organized individual to join our team in a dynamic role that blends family-facing hospitality, administrative support, and café management. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a people-centered, customer service-oriented environment, is comfortable wearing many hats, and can adapt quickly to the changing needs of the day.
You’ll serve as the first point of contact for families, students, and visitors - providing a warm, welcoming, and informed presence at our front desk, while also leading a teen-run café with care and efficiency.
Job Responsibilities
Part 1: Front Desk & Administrative Support – Family Engagement & Hospitality
Greet and support parents, families, and students by answering questions, providing reminders, and guiding them through schedules or sign-ups.
Assist with day-to-day operations using Jackrabbit, our client management system, as well as other online-based software.
Help maintain a safe and organized front area, including assisting children when needed.
Coordinate logistics such as merchandise pickup, volunteer sign-ups, and seasonal communications.
Provide general administrative and operational support as requested by the Operations Team.
Part 2: Café Lead – Overseeing a Teen-Led Café
Open and set up the café each day, ensuring cleanliness, inventory, and readiness for service.
Operate the café during early afternoon hours (approximately 2:00 PM – 3:45 PM) before transitioning to teen staff.
Oversee inventory management and ordering of café supplies.
Hire, train, and mentor teen café employees, fostering a supportive and educational work culture.
Manage concessions during performances at the Village Theatre, including ordering, setup, and sales (includes multiple weekend hours twice yearly).
Obtain and maintain a Manager-Level Food Handler Certification (exam required).
Please note: Occasional weekend overtime is required for key events and performances, scheduled at least 6 weeks in advance.
