Front Desk Receptionist - Full-time - Outpatient - Orange Park, FL

Great Strides Rehabilitation is looking for a full-time Front Desk Receptionist for our Orange Park location. The required work schedule will vary but will be between 8 AM-6 PM Monday -Friday (hours and days will vary).

As the Front Desk Receptionist, you are directly responsible for scheduling visits and communicating with staff, patients, physicians, etc. to maintain proper care coordination and continuity of care. You will assist our central scheduling team in ensuring that patients' health care benefits will cover required procedures, or the patient meets self-pay criteria. You will update patient charts and monitor for accuracy. You will be the point of contact for referring physicians' offices, and the insurance companies to verify and approve procedures.

Education: High School Diploma preferred.

Facility Hours: Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 6 PM

Daily Tasks:

• Manage scheduling of new and existing patients for services
• Review and input insurance & demographic information into patient charts
• Explain insurance benefits to patients and assist in determining the policy’s compatibility with our therapy services.
• Collect copays/coinsurances and reconcile for end of day closing
• Provide support to clinicians when needed in administering therapy programs

Experience: Our ideal candidate will have previous medical reception experience, and have strong customer service, computer, phone, and communication skills. Medical terminology and ICD 10 experience are a plus! Good knowledge of Microsoft Office platform. Ability to multitask and work under pressure, while also having strong customer service skills and attention to detail!

Compensation: Hourly, Commensurate with experience
