Job Description - Front Desk Supervisor



 The Portland Regency Hotel & Spa is looking for a Front Desk Supervisor to support daily operations and help lead the front desk during evening and overnight shifts. If you love hospitality, teamwork, and solving guest concerns with confidence and care, this is your chance to make an impact in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.

What You’ll Do:


• Supervise and support the front desk team in the absence of the manager
• Perform the nightly audit and ensure accurate cash-handling, reporting, and reservation verification
• Monitor guest feedback, surveys, and online reviews to celebrate wins and identify opportunities
• Respond to guest concerns with professionalism, empathy, and creative problem-solving
• Conduct regular property walk-throughs to ensure safety, security, and smooth operations across departments
• Partner closely with the Executive Housekeeper to support fair, consistent scheduling and strong team communication
• Assist with hiring, training, and team development

 Qualifications:


• 1–3+ years of supervisory or team-lead experience (hospitality strongly preferred)
• Solid understanding of front office operations, auditing, and cash-handling procedures
• Comfortable using hotel systems, third-party travel extranets, and digital reporting tools
• High school diploma or equivalent (college experience is a plus!)
• Must be 18+ and authorized to work in the United States
• Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Strong organization, judgment, and guest-service skills
