Front Gate Cashier

Job Title: Front Gate Cashier

Job Summary: Front Gate Cashiers are responsible for assisting guests with purchasing tickets at the front gate. Front Gate Cashiers are also required to interact with Guests, Team Members, and Supervisors on a daily basis.

Job Responsibilities:

• Must be able to promote the park with the utmost enthusiasm and pride while interacting with guests.


• Proficient knowledge of computers with the ability to learn new programs.


• Sales of various season passes and ticket types.


• Handling various ticket transactions including advanced sales, group sales, complimentary tickets, season tickets, promotional tickets, and reconciling ticket problems.


• Responsible for the accurate recording of all ticket options, ensuring an accurate record of guest attendance.


• Providing prompt and courteous resolutions to guest concerns on a daily basis while seeking new methods to increase guest satisfaction.


• Respond to or notify security of an emergency situation in the area and maintain control until a supervisor arrives.


• Complete any and all tasks as requested by management.

Experience:

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.


• Previous experience in retail or customer service preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Standing and walking for long periods on surfaces such as uneven surfaces and hard flooring.


• Physical exertion such as frequent bending, twisting, stretching, stooping, and reaching overhead.

• Must be able to work in all weather conditions and elements including the direct sunlight with no shade, cold, rain, etc.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Excellent communication skills to interact with customers professionally and kindly.


• Accuracy in ticket sales, pricing, and record keeping.


• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions.


• Ability to manage ticketing issues, customer complaints, or logistical problems.


• Comfortable with ticketing software and point-of-sale (POS) systems.

Safety:

• Promote and practice safe work practices at all times.


• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.


• Adhere to company, state and federal safety standards and regulations.
